Lisa Cox
Lisa Cox was born and raised in the Bayside Melbourne. She is married and lives with her husband and three young children.
Qualified as a Primary and Special education teacher, Lisa spent 10 years in the teaching profession before leaving to raise her family and to focus on developing as an artist. Her style has evolved over recent years but Lisa’s time spent working with young children can still be seen as a positive influence in her work.
Lisa has successfully exhibited at many Art Shows, Galleries and Exhibitions including most recently the ART Melbourne 2008 Exhibition.
Lisa’s style has been described as ‘naive’ and ‘mythological’ and depicts a playful and joyful search for identity. The rich use of colour and texture within her paintings helps to bring them to life. This allows the viewer to engage and identify with her art, giving it such broad appeal.
